Today, I went to the edge of my comfort zone. And did a thing š We are in Pismo Beach, CA for Mikeās birthday. Itās been a relaxing soulcation.
Except for today. Today we rented four-wheelers and rode them all over the Oceano Sand Dunes. Where you have to be careful because you could get to the top of dune and then thereās a 100-foot drop š®. So, yeah I was a little scared, but itās Mikeās birthday so I sucked it up. And at first, I wasnāt really loving it, it was bumpy, I kept getting stuck and it was a lot of effort (sounds a bit similar to the entrepreneurial journey š).
But eventually I just let go, got out of my head and started having fun (also like entrepreneurship š)ā¦going a little faster, going down steeper hills and up taller dunes. And it was freeing and fun. So much fun.
And I had been so close to self-sabotaging the whole thing. Or not even doing it and just letting Mike go. But Iām glad I went to the edge of my comfort zone today. Iām glad I got out of my head and let myself just be.
Getting uncomfortable doesnāt have to be a bad thing. In fact, going to the edge of your comfort zone is where your growth happens. I know this may seem like a small thing but I felt like a badass for the rest of the day. Just think about what could happen or how you could feel if you kept going to the edge on a regular basis or did something even bigger?
This is what I help my clients do – grow through going to the edge of their comfort zone – so they can see whatās possible for themselves. So they can feel like a badass too and create the life that they want. One where they are free and thriving.
Tell me – whatās one thing youāre going to do this week to go to the edge of your comfort zone?
