5 Questions to Ring in 2022

We’re so busy that we rarely take a moment to look back on anything, so I’m inviting you to spend some time over the next few days to set aside some time to reflect on 2021 (highly recommended intentions + reflection over setting NYE resolutions).

Looking back with intention can be pretty powerful:

It helps us to see how far we’ve come. Something we don’t do often enough – so let’s celebrate what we’ve accomplished (big and small), what we’ve got through this year (a lot!) and what we’re proud of! We’ve usually done a lot more than we give ourselves credit for.

It helps us to identify what we want to let go of – thoughts, feelings, people, things, experiences, ways of being. Awareness is key. But please be gentle with yourself when answering this question. Self-compassion goes a long way here…and remember no one is perfect, we weren’t made to be – that’s the beauty of being a human. We are always learning, evolving and growing (and sometimes we’re not and that’s OK too).

It helps us set intentions for how we want to show up. Starting to name + visualize how we want to show up and who we want to be puts us one step closer to actually showing up that way. It starts to cement it into our brains and we can ask ourselves “How would she/he/they show up in this situation? What would they do?”.

Of course, I’ve got more than five questions (and more on why this exercise is so valuable), but I wanted to keep it simple for now (feel free to email me if you want more though and I’ll send over some additional potent 2021 reflection questions!). Here are the five questions to help you close out 2021 and get 2022 going:

  1. What are you celebrating + most proud of this year? Why?
  2. What are the most impactful moments of this year and why?
  3. What are you letting go of and leaving behind in 2021?
  4. What’s your biggest insight from 2021?
  5. Who are you being or becoming in 2022? Why is that important to you?

Happy New Year! Here’s to 2021 + 2022!

xoxo Ashley
